First NGC7000

I have been waiting for this one. Moon a little bit of a problem.

8 subs at 7 mins ISO 1600. Difficult to frame it

I am going to try again at ISO 800

Not too bad though Robin. It is a huge object to juggle with in the framing. A tad noisy. As you suggest, cut down on the ISO and sub length too perhaps, and do more of them, and a POTW looms.

Well done, Robin - framing this object is not easy as it is a huge nebula but you have essentially captured the most interesting part - the 'Mexico region'.

This one is ISO800 - 7x 7 mins Better I think

Much prefer the second version, Robin, smoother and generally less 'harsh' - the 'lightness' of the background is in keeping with the current non-dark skies at this time of the year which is something I like to portray in my own Summer images.
