Just got back from an all day trip to the homeland (midlands). Just had a look on googlearth and sat24, anybody reckons its worth setting up tonight? have you seen the big rain cloud off the south coast?

I'm setup and waiting for it to get dark.

I have new toys to play with tonight, so doubt I'll get much. But if I get the new cam to focus and get something on the screen then I'll be happy.

(i'm in the SE)

Just been out and it's not looking good.. heavy cloud coming in from the east but that storm off the south coast is moving in, but going north of us, looks like we missed the two clumps probably hitting gladestonbury et al north of shepton mallet.

bit iffy, might wait till tomorrow:mad:

Regards

I'm set up but its really marginal with the thin cloud all over the sky. I just wish it would either clear up or cloud over completely....

I decided no, jumped in the tub listening to MJ news, and noticed clear skies for 20 mins.

Got set up and aligned in 5 mins flat, just grabbing my 2nd 20min [sII] sub of the night.

Gonna watch the sat pics closely though
