I took this over the winter and decided to drag it back out and stretch it some more since it looked very dark on my work monitor so here is the stretched version

SV70ED with TV 2008 and Canon 40D (Astronomik 13nm clip in filter)

Great stuff Les just shows how much nebulosity there is around Orion.

Yes, on my list, too. This is breathtaking - so deep. It is really showing things I didn't know were there. Can there be a better bit of sky anywhere than this? Great image, Les..

I have to aggree there is no better part of the sky the first image I looked at was the Horsehead nebula and that got me into imaging I will also be doing this area again. it went by so fast this year well it felt that way maybe I will have a CCD by then
