Moon Occults Mars - 2025 JAN 13 - North America

A Full Moon will occult magnitude -1.4 Mars two days before Mars opposes the Sun. The occultation will occur during the evening of 2025 JAN 13 for most of North America.

Lucky observers on a graze path can witness Mars passing through lunar hills and valleys. Those between the two graze paths will see a full occultation.
