Sam
Here's a work in progress of M100. I only got 12 subs last night before I lost the guide star and the position went off. I could have got more if I'd remembered that now I have EQMOD running it would have easily slewed back to the right place - must have been too tired to remember that! The subs were 5mins 5secs each, not sure how I managed such an unusual sub length either????I looked at this one through the 16" while I was imaging it and the spiral were easily visible - it's quite big and bright. So here's the details:12 X 5mins 5secs at ISO1600Canon 1000DOrion XT8 8" NewtEQ6 SyntrekEQMOD, ST80 guidescope and QHY5 guidecamSoftware: Guidemaster, PixInsight, EQMODSam
ncjunk
Nice pic, there are quite a few fuzzies there. I think I will have a quick look at the details online. That extra 5 seconds made all the difference, like making a guitar amp that goes up to 11. :-DNeil C
Aza
Nicely detailed Sam! There is quite a strong red cast on the image though I opened it up in photoshop and dropped the red level. It made quite an improvement in the colour.
