Hello everyone,
Since the last update, when I shoot a target I only see a grey screen on my tablet. Fortunately, the stacking is done normally and I can view the result by clicking on “denoising” but it's a bit confusing not to see the progress of the capture.
Other people seem to have the same problem: the suggested answer is to enable/disable the “Live View” function in the advanced settings, but I haven't seen anything like it (only continuous shooting and Live, which didn't solve anything).
Thanks in advance for your help

Eric

I only bought mine a week ago and upon startup I needed to update to the latest version. I've only used it about 3 times as it's so cloudy but had that happen once. I didn't know what to do as the count was still going up so I left it and eventually it just appeared on the screen again. I thought it might have been connection issues as scope was in garden and I was inside with a warm brew.

Had the same thing with my Samsung Tab A tablet (2016 version) - I didn't try denoising.

Live View isn't the issue - I can't say what the issue actually is, but I have seen a comment on the ZWO forum that Android Tablets (and possibly phones) need at least 6Gb of RAM to work.

On the other hand, I've seen a response from ZWO that 'there are no minimum requirements, but some phones may not meet the requirements' - which is wonderful in its unhelpfulness.

There was a suggestion in response to my support ticket that I download a fresh version of the SeeStar app from their development server (but I've not tried that).

I've bought a replacement tablet (with 8Gb RAM)  - arriving on Thursday.

FWIW I bought, second hand, a cheap no-name Android tablet specifically to use with the Seestar. It crashes occasionally when web browsing but OK so far on the Seestar app and I've never seen the problem described above. It does have 8g of memory though so that could be the issue.

I very much doubt they would make it 8gb minimum ,there are guys in the USA on cloudy nights using very old very basic tablets . mine is smooth as silk with 4gb ram ....my phone has 8 gb ram but runs the same on both with no noticeable differences ,i prefer the 11 inch table for using it though .

its better when you sat with someone target hopping ,a little easier than my normal rig lol....will try it again as soon as get clear skies ,im sure if there is a bug in the latest version ZWO will be on it asap.
