Seeing isn't great with misty patches but Jupiter has moments of really good seeing. There were two ovals trailing one another across the central meridian when I started observations at 23.30hrs. There was a number of dark blue festoons eminating from the North Equatorial belt with lots of festoons within the Equatorial zone. Within this zone I counted five bright creamy areas dotted in the central meridian of the EQ zone. There was also a bright oval transiting the central meridian of the South Equatorial belt.

Later at 00.30hrs the South Equatorial belt disturbance came into view coming onto the disk. South tropical belt was darker by this time too on the disk.

Observed with the C11, 2.5x powermate and 462mc camera via computer screen.

I’m looking forward to good enough seeing to trip over the SEB disturbance myself. No joy so far but till then it’s nice to read others are having success 👍
