SW150PDS + Canon 450D + Coma Corrector+ L-Pro

2.4hrs useable lights + flats, processed in Siril, Graxpert and GIMP

I only stumbled upon this target recently, just as a way of using the hours of darkness once other targets had disappeared behind the trees. But I'm quite pleased with it for a first stab - I think there's more to come from this data alone and all being well I will get some more data tonight. From the other images I see there's a lot more "stuff" around it so bit of a shame my scope has quite a limited FOV so I could consider another mosaic.

There's an ugly secondary diffraction spike across the image that's already been discussed and will require some mods to the scope.

And the bright star Propus needs managing - I'm thinking that a bit like M42 this target might benefit from some extra, much shorter, exposures to help control it.

I've added a few more hours to this but I'm not sure if it's better or just different. 🤔

The bright star, Propus, still needs managing - I do have some shorter exposure light frames but I'm struggling to get them aligned perfectly with the longer exposure stack...

And the secondary diffraction spikes are worse...

But I think there's a bit more detail emerging...

I'm sure I can see more detail, especially trailing edge of tentacles bottom middle of the image
