About 1 hour ago there was a large CME off the sun the prom looks to be about 30 degrees  away from the surface and may be heading this way .Sorry photos are not great the cme is so far away now can't be seen

I finally managed to get to view the Sun in Ha today I think I may have got a glimpse of this in my PST. Took a little while to get my 'eye in' again. 

Fingers crossed for more Aurorae

The amazing thing about one of the flares (it may have been the CME in this thread) over the weekend was that it was visible in white light. A very clear brightening and rapid explosion was evident in WL on a video I saw on CN. Wonder if anyone on SGL saw it?

I saw the bright flare so grab my phone when I looked back in the eyepiece it had shot a prom out in to space it was about 10 mm from the surface the prom was about 5 mm in size and over the next few minutes went out of the FOV

I was using my 60 mm DayStar solar scout with a 25 mm  eyepiece with 62 deg wide field of view
