First image for me since 2022, had lots of issues, tracking was awful and couldn’t get ADC adjusted, but happy to just get something.

12” Newt with ASI485mc. Best 25% of one 3 minute capture.

Very nice and a little hint of Cassinini division. I like that there's almost no shadow from the rings as we are approaching opposition.

Thanks Kon. Yes the lack of shadow from the rings onto the globe stumped me a little as I was counting on it as a focus aid! Never mind though it was just nice to be out. Visually it looked beautiful through the 12” at around 185x .

Thanks! Planned to get at least 10x 3 min captures but tracking was so bad I practically had to keep the dec button held down to keep it on the frame. Must have done a terrible job with the Synscan alignment routine.

Good start Craig. Tracking woes. Been there done that. It makes life difficult. Impacts results. But you still got a good early start
