Heart re-processed

I imaged the Heart Nebula in broadband in late 2022, and looking back at it, the background didn't look right. So I had another go a few weeks ago, with careful starless DBE. I've just put the finishing touches to it, and it just shows how important (and dangerous) background extraction / gradient removal can be. There's a whole lot of background detail here that I had wiped previously - lots of dust and dark areas. This is a two panel mosaic with not much more than 30 minutes per panel, RASA 11 and ASI2400MC Pro. Second image is a heavy crop showing the "heart of the heart" - not totally sharp, but not too bad.

Fantastic Robin.   It's a nice change to see this with pure OSC showing all the dust and darkness in the background contrasting the Ha.
