I have to shoot some darks for this I thought I could get away with not doing it but what do I know :)

I like these wider views of this pair as I can see where I keep getting lost with my small camera.

Les, this is a lovely image. You have picked up great detail in dust lanes and the colour is beautiful. In my limited knowledge I think some darks would help, though this is not a put down on the image at all! It would just enhance it, I think. Congrats with it, it is a beautiful shot of two stunning galaxies - you have done them justice :)

Lovely image. I think these two will always be a bit special to me being the first galaxies that I found with the telescope.

Can't wait to try imaging them myself. Just need my motor drives to turn up:(

Nice pic Les. I love these two galaxies, I think they're beautiful when seen side by side.

Looks like you also picked up NGC3077 (according to Starry Night) in the top left there as well.

Thanks guys I tried to grab some more subs for this but only managed 4 x 8minutes before the clouds rolled in I am still going to add them in with some darks and see how it improves

I picked the scope up a couple of weeks ago I am very happy with it and can't wait to try it out with some Nebula images
