Elusive Mercury has commenced its apparition in the western sky after sunset following its superior conjunction behind the Sun on 2024 JUN 14. This is a moderately favorable apparition for observers north of the tropics.

Photos and descriptions of Mercury during this apparition would be welcome additions to this thread.

My first observation of Mercury this apparition was last night through Viewlux 7.5° 10x50s.

I also took a photo from my driveway,  as it dropped toward the horizon:
