FC-100 Feather Touch Finder Solution

Recommended Posts

The Feather Touch focuser I have fitted to my FC-100 is a quality piece of kit. However, it absolutely beggars belief a £700 focuser has no means of attaching finders!

For a while I've had a Baader RDF attached to my More Blue rings, which works fine. But I really need a normal finder too.
Here is my solution. Simple but effective.

Oooh that's clever. I'm currently trying to configure my 72mm refractor with a 6x30 finder and a rdf or rigel both in perfect positions but so far I'm having to compromise the position of one or the other or both. I am inspired to think differently and possibly make some kind of contraption.

It is extraordinary. Nice resolution to the problem.  My solution was small tube rings which can fit the outer diameter of the attachment point of the focuser and fix the finder to that.
