Taken on the 26th April with good transparency.

10" Newt / EQ6 Pro / Baader Canon 450D / Hutech LPS filter

Guided with 70mm Bresser frac / QHY5 / PHD

23 x 4 minutes + 7 x 7 minutes with darks flats and bias

Thats not "another" M51... it's a mighty fine M51...with sympatheic processing...

The image has everything... I need to get one like that so I can put M51 to bed for this season...

It's a real compliment to get feedback like this from people who frequently post absolutely stunning images on here.

BTW Neil, it's f/6.3 ~ 1600mm focal length, quite slow (heavy, long and hard to balance) but I'm very happy with it.

Thanks, that explains a lot, mine was taken at approx F9.7 so I need at least another hours worth of data to match your capture. Thanks for the info Neil.
