X class flare!

Just been a large solar flare. If it was 3392 then it will probably be earth directed.

Unfortunately (or fortunately - we might have just dodged a bullet) the X-flare was not from 3392, but it's still looking like there could be a strong display of auroras early on the 8th... weather permitting of course. Looking like there could be partially clear skies around then at least.

Just been another STRONG M-class flare - I'm guessing from AR3386 which is the sunspot that unleashed the X-class flare earlier, but if it's from AR3392 then the flare could still have a sizable Earth directed component.
