Chaz2b
Pricey but well made and very easy to use, need to drill and tap another hole in the bottom of the dovetail. It has very good ergonomics, handles are easy to access and both axes move smoooooothly! chaz I've found a suitable hex bolt to replace the one you see on the right of the bar. Would like to make it a quick release but the only vixen style clamp I have is too small, but only just. On the look out or even a suggestion of a better solution? saac
Got round to upgrading my 3D Printer. The Ender 5 had served me very well but it was time to take advantage of some improvements in the 3D printing world, most notably speed, heated enclosure, input shaping and first layer fault detection. This thing (Creality K1 Max) is fast with a large build plate (300 x 300 mm). Having much fun experimenting with it at the moment. The second photo shows the bottom half of a DNA model for school; printed in half the time of the old printer Jim

Vroobel
Thanks to mpb.com and DPD I have two new to me lenses, both used but in excellent working condition. Tamron 17-35mm F/2.8-4 Di OSD as 28mm one appeared too narrow for NLCs, it will be used mostly for astrophotography and events in the sky. Also, Canon 28-135mm F/3.5-5.6 IS USM for typical use. A lot of night tests ahead... 😁 Edited July 3 by Vroobel

Thank you 😸 I want to spend time with them under dark skies before writing up a more thorough observing report. That's especially because these are the 7x50, which I bought instead of the 10x50 because 1) I do not want to need to use a tripod with them, and 2) using them under dark skies is my intention. With that said, I had them up on the rooftop in London last night, and the word that seems most apt is "magnificent." I was sitting there looking at Lyra in its entirety... so vivid, so sharp. It was like what I see through a superb refractor and binoviewer, but with an ~11° FOV. I cannot imagine a more perfect view, and I cannot wait to use them under the dark skies that they're made for. I do not say this with the desire to gush or to denigrate other binoculars: these are almost like a totally different instrument. The view is different to the extent that my mind does not even want to classify them as a binocular. Of course, they are binoculars. But it feels like some other word is warranted to classify them more accurately. 12

PatientObserver
My Gitzo gear center column arrived for my Gitzo Systematic Series 5 tripod. Both of which I found for about 50% off. Alas, I am traveling and will not be home for another couple weeks (hence the reason my post lacks pictures). The plan is to use it with my Super Mount S-Mini as my light weight setup.
Ratlet
Birthday presents arrived. Continuing the playing with microcontrollers theme so I can build be some cheap astronomy toys. Also got a history of astronomy. Probably should read the descriptions as i didn't realise this history of astronomy was written in 1651 lol. Wonder what they have to say about Sir Patrick?
