The Society of Popular Astronomy is holding a day-long workshop for anyone interested in starting astrophotography 🙂 

Starting from Scratch Astrophotography day

The workshop will cover all aspects of astrophotography at a beginner’s level, whether with DSLR/mirrorless cameras or specialised astro cameras, from wide-field photography with an undriven camera to through-the-telescope imaging.

Speakers at the event are: 

Dave Eagle:  Author of several guides to all forms of astrophotography. 

Mary McIntyre: A noted astrophotographer who has organised previous courses on astrophotography. 

Robin Scagell: Vice President of the SPA and author of many books and articles about astronomy. 

 

First Light Optics are supporting the event, so will be there with some examples of equipment suitable for starting astrophotography.
