Skywatcher synscan V5 handset size

Hi all 

could someone who has the skywatcher Synscan V5 handset with the USB port, give me the handset size please, length x width at the widest point and thickness…

I would assume that all the SW handsets are physically the same size, and the versions relate to the internal hardware and firmware  ?

Hi Stuart. Not sure mine is a V5, but the dimensions are:

Thickness = 27mm, Width = 85.5mm, Length = 180mm

The thickness is measured on a flat surface to its highest point. My digital gauge wouldn't extend to 180mm so that is taken using a ruler. ( Modern technology outstripped with a piece of plastic stick! )

No they aren’t unfortunately…this is the V3 and V4

Oh right...stand corrected.   Strange that the V3 and V5 appear identical, yet the V4 changed design..

yes exactly i have the version 4 and hence wanting know the difference in size to the V5….it’s for a handset soft case I want to get…

Hi Stuart. I'm afraid mine looks like the V3 handcontroller.

It doesn't have a USB connector.
