Weather satellite gets 'photobombed'

On 4th May 2023, Japan's Himawari-9 geostationary weather satellite caught a little visitor passing through on its 0040 UTC set of images. It has 16 narrowband channels and here's the one in the red spectrum at 640nm. 😊 It's a 5500 x 5500 pixel image.

What a cool photograph. Proves you can do astrophotography even with cloud cover.
