Finder scope, correct lens assembly

Recommended Posts

Received a new Skyoptikst 1400/150 telescope and my son unboxed it and unscrewed the finder scope. anyway the lenses are out of it now and I am trying to figure out the correct orientation of the 3 lenses. It is a cheap scope and the cross hair piece has to be held in the tube while screwing the eye piece on the end. I have tried different orientations and I can't seem to make it work.

I just ordered a better 90 degree one made of metal. I decided the cheap one was not worth fixing. The telescope itself works really well. I was able to use it the first night but the skies have been cloudy since then.

I figure out the lenses where mixed  with other lenses and I had a lens for something else in place of the main objective lens on the end (one of those JB moments). It works now but the view is really low quality compared to the all metal 90 deg scope I purchased. This new scope is really impressive and it looks and functions like it should have cost more than the $35.00 I paid for it.
