Star trails on first image after dither

I noticed the other night, nearly every images after a dither had slightly elongated stars, as though the mount hand't quite had enough time to settle or something. Does anyone know if there is a way to extend the settle time after a dither in ASIAir? Or if this might be a completely separate problem?

Do you have PEC enabled on the mount? 

I believe it impacts negatively on guiding and dither recover.

Think you've kind of answered your own question. Try increasing the settling time under dither settings, you could possibly also reduce the stability but that will likely depend on the seeing conditions at the time so best leave that one.

That's the amount of dither, not the settling time
