Aristarchus (and its rimae) and Gassendi

Great capture of Aristarchus. I didn't realize I captured it earlier - I associate Aristarchus with incandescent brightness, but in this early light it looks quite muted. Your 8" picks up a lot more detail than my 6".

Thanks. Good capture as well. Comparing with your earlier capture, the shadows motion is pretty nice inside the crater between our images.

Regarding details, seeing will play a huge factor but also collimation is key.

Aristarchus and Gassendi coming out well there. Some nice fine detail on both. but particularly Gassendi  Like a idiot I didn't wake up until 11.30.

Thanks Neil. I think the lighting was not the best for Aristarchus and probably suffered a bit during stacking. Seeing was similar for both captures.

Very nice captures Kostas! How many frames are you managing to stack with the manual tracking?

Thanks Stuart. I get between 6-8K. I keep 70% in pipp and stack around 25% in as!3.
