Recommended Posts

Hello, It's seem such a long time. Apologies for not keeping SGLers' up to date with the goings on at HantsAstro since Xmas. I have been a bit snowed under with the Group and work which is getting even busier!

We've been very busy a Group.

We have an astronomy 'event' 25/26th April at Butser Ancient Farm, Chalton, Hants from 10am- 5.00pm £6/£3... £3 xtra will get you into a massive Planetarium on the Saturday. HantsAstro Members get entry concessions and entry to the Planetarium (we're sqeezing it into the Great Roundhouse - it 26 feet dia!) for just £1 and the age of the group. There's a Hog roast too! and of course refreshments.

MoonFest 2009

Our First MoonFest Road Show event was in Alton 5th April with over 160 people attending. It went pretty well. Two more are planned:

29th April at the Memorial Park in Romsey, Hants 7pm

2nd May at High Cliffe School & College, High Cliffe on the Hants/Dorset border one of our new sites and we are looking for new members in the area... more events are planned with a full program of observing from Sept 2009, and we are looking for a second site in the New Forest...

Loads more stuff to tell and several questions to ask...

Hope you like what we are doing as Group, and we are still offering free membership, one year on.

Who said it wouldn't work? It's a new kind of astronomy group.

Be great to hear from you all.

Dave.
