APOD. Astronomy Picture Of the Day

This image of M31 the Andromeda Galaxy is today’s APOD. I posted it here for two reasons.

1) Because it is breathtaking!

2) To draw attention to the site because perhaps some new members just staring out in astronomy may not be aware of it. Personally I find the images inspirational.
