The big dipper?

Recommended Posts

Hi!

I’m still very much new to this hobby and have been experimenting taking photos with my phone. Last night was pretty cloudless compared to how it’s been recently, so i decided to try and take some images.

Did i capture the big dipper to the right of this picture, or did i manage to capture anything else?

I tried to use apps like skyview etc but i couldn’t get my wifi to work - so i’m sorry for asking a lot of questions

You’re off to a good start Kelly, you even captured Polaris towards the far left of the image.  I wouldn’t have thought you would get anything with those clouds. Well done.

Cracking.  Massively underated part of the hobby is constellation spotting.  Great when you work out where everything is and can say "yup, that's caseopia" , especially when it's a faint one like Cancer.
