wimvb
It seems other countries are following Starlink and Amazon. China has announced it's planning its own 13,000 satellite constellation. https://spacenews.com/china-to-begin-constructing-its-own-megaconstellation-later-this-year/ Who'll be next?

Cornelius Varley
There's probably a joke in there about Amazon satellites being delivered in 1 to 2 business days or that you were out and they were left with your neighbour. But I'm not going to do that. 1
Leo S
On 05/03/2023 at 09:32, Mr Magoo said: As a purely visual observer I've seen a number of events that can only be space debris burning up in our atmosphere, quite spectacular. I think you might be mistaking natural events for reentries. Reentries are actually quite few and far between, at least recently/over the UK. On the other hand, there have been plenty of very slow bright meteors/fireballs in recent years. My cameras caught a few over the last 2-3 years, but only a single reentry (not easy to see - but it's most easily seen when it emerges from behind the tree, low down, at about 3+ sec, traveling right to left), barely caught, but it was a long way off, over France (about 600 Km from here).
