EQ Platform tracking slightly off

Mr Spock

Recommended Posts

A few weeks ago I decided to treat my EQ platform to a new motor. Nothing wrong with the old one, other than age.

However, it's not working out too well. Firstly, despite being wired correctly (I'm sure it is), it was going the wrong way so I've switched the N/S switch to S. Secondly, even at maximum speed, it's just falling behind slightly. At x217 in an ortho objects move across the field of view in about five minutes. It's usable, but the old motor was perfect.

It may be faulty in some way, however, as I have to cut the wires to get it to fit I can't send it back! I may have to go back to the old motor :sad2::blink:
