Hi All. Actually took the data for this in February 2021, it's about 13 hours of 1 minute and 5 minute subs.

HDR2_clone.thumb.jpg.e52e0bf13bcc39399a2711b296766d6d.jpg

Mount: Skywatcher HEQ5

Imaging Scope: Skywatcher 130PDS

Imaging Camera: ZWO ASI 224

Guiding: PHD2 with Finderguider and Altair GPCAM

Capture Software: Sharpcap

Stacking and Processing: Pixinsight, BlurXterminator, NoiseXterminator

Been out of the game for one one reason or another for about two years, but its nice to be back. Any comment or criticism welcome as usual.

This is my first time processing on my current monitor. I've left it in standard mode because sRGB mode seemed very dark. Please let me know if the image seems too dark or bright, you should be able to see the Ha jets, they're subtle but definitely there.

A lovely image of M82 which clearly shows the hydrogen filaments. Quite amazing given how cheap the PDS130 is. Do you use a CC on this scope and have you had any problems correcting coma?

Thanks Maximidius, I used a Baader MPC mark 3 coma corrector. That seems to work quite well.

I like that - and a great example of achieving great results with cheap kit too. It'd be interesting to see what BlurX might make of it ?

stu

I used BlurX in this image. I was happy with it before with normal sharpening, but BlurX, wow!
