MartinB
This was a bit of a muddle really. There is a nice bright Mag 6.5 star near M3 but I just couldn't find it. So I ended up with a woefully inadequate faint speck which was pretty useless for active optics guiding. I have now sorted out in my head how I should have gone about finding the thing. I finally decided to put the image together tonight and it has come out a bit better than I thought it would. If I'd found that guide star I would have had a guide cycle of >10 per sec. Will have another go asap10" LX200ACF SXVAO and QSI532L with CLS filter 6x150 secsR+G each 6x170B 6x200 All unbinnedCaptured and combined in maxim and processed in PS
