First ever outside viewing and first ever moon pic.

Hi all, just thought I'd post this, as why not. Now, I've literally had my scope for 7 days lol. Absolute beginner, jumped in probably sooner than I should. But on my first viewing session outside from Wednesday night (25/1) I was looking at the moon. And quickly just put my galaxy s10, by hand, to the eyepiece. Here's what I got, like I said, nowt special but just wanted to share my first ever pics of the moon. 

 

Hopefully 1 day would love to look at imaging more, but for the moment just learning to walk before i can run.

Looks great, hope you have many other clear nights out.

Would  be great to set up your signature so we can see the kit you are using.

I have also found this really useful when you’ve got questions and people can see quickly what you have got.

I'm hoping for a clear weekend as I'm off work now until Monday! Great idea about the signature, I'll have a look on my profile to see how I do it. Cheers 👍

It’s a bit tricky (well I thought so) to find.

from your profile page hit “account settings” (not edit profile)

then “signature” on the bottom left to access the editor.

Beautiful pics! I remember my first time ever viewing astro objects, firstly the Moon, then Jupiter and Saturn. The excitement when you see them, it's a wonderful feeling.

@bosun21 Thank you for kind words Bosun21. The Moon was my first ever attempt at an Astro photo too! I used my iPhone 11, it was a blurry mess! LOL.
