Sw 127 vs Bresser Messier MC-127

Hi,

has anyone any experience of these two as a side by side comparison? I understand the Bresser has the full 127 aperture as an advantage but also has a long focal length so is therefore slower for any potential AP.

You won’t notice any difference between them and the only AP that can be done practically with them is the planets and perhaps a few planetary nebulae. What mount do you propose to mount it on?

Hadn’t got that far just wondered on the difference in quality of image etc

So the Skywatcher has a larger FOV. There will be no difference in visual quality that would be noticed. I had my friends Bresser 127 for a month or two and I couldn’t see any difference between it and my Skywatcher 127. I didn’t even notice the reduction in FOV of the Bresser due to its longer focal length. Good luck with whatever you choose.

That’s superb advice thank u , I just wondered as I had heard it was a better quality OTA and sharper view but clearly not 👍🏼
