Not one I have seen.

I am sure this is not needed but somebody will ask anyway, I take it you have tried checking for NINA updates and also done a full shut down of computer and restart ?

Steve

yeah, drivers and all updates done. thinking it was probably the cause at this point. lol.

I am assuming you have 12v connected ok? Also on the assumption you're using the Ascom driver you could try the native one. It can be USB cable related too but if it's worked before......

Just a wild thought what happens if you shut down PHD2 ?
I wondered if PHD2 was connecting to your main camera by mistake I have had that before albeit in a different software to NINA when using two ZWO cameras.
If  NINA started autoguiding when auto focussing, then that could explain why you can take a snapshot with no guiding but not in autofocus.

1. 12v power seems ok

2. everything seems ok until I run autofocus or just wait a while. on initial start and cool i can take single subs ok.

3. PHD2 is definitely using the guide cam

I generally use native drivers, I did try the ascom ones and same issue.

I'd try the cable then or try removing any hubs if you have them

Have to try new cables tomorrow. Too cold out there to mess around now. No hubs involved, all runs off mini pc on pier with dedicated usb ports

Do you get any more clues if you look at the log files. You may need to change the logging level to see more info, not something I have really used tbh but worth looking maybe ?

I'll have to look into that.
