TONIGHT, JAN 16TH, C/2022/ E3 (ZTF) IS AROUND MAG 6.5, CLEAR SKIES FOR MOST.

C/2022/  E3  (ZTF) is around 6.5 and getting better.  Between midnight tonight it is around 20 deg alt, by 2am 33 deg, and by 5am 60 degrees.  During this time it's azimuth goes from 31 degrees to 88 degrees - nearly due E.

The screen shot from SkySafari  below shows its position at 3am when it will be at an altitude of 41 degrees.

If you can stand the snow and ice (in Yorkshire at least) it should be worth the effort.

Sadly clouds rolling in here shortly. I'm hoping to catch the Comet Thursday early hours if the forecast holds..

I had a good look this morning, between 5 and 6, very easy spot with my 20 x 80 binoculars. Thought I could see a hint of tail, but that may be wishful thinking. I could  see a misty blob, which looked slightly off white in colour.

I will get the scope out next time, weather permitting
