Managed a few clear nights and finished the CA Nebula.  My goal was to capture the end of the nebula, as in previous attempts I did not. The image is still a bit noisy, which I think is for the most part in the blue (OIII) channel.  23 hours should be sufficient.  The data is fairly consistent, with all 3 channels having similar.  That usually makes processing easier, but this target always seems difficult.

FSQ 106 with .6x reducer and ASI 1600

Ha: 129 300 sec

SII: 86 300 sec

0III: 59 300 sec

ou mentioned noise.  Have you tried Russ Croman's NoiseXterminator?  I have found it to be a real game changer

Thanks  Martin. I have thought about it. Is it much better than the noise control tools in PI?
