Mars Dec 8th repro

Taken a bit more time processing this image from Dec 8th. Got a bit more detail with a 10% stack. Had to use stronger wavelets (linked) than I normally would (making detail a bit coarse) presumably because this was taken through thin cloud and/or focus and collimation were slightly out as seeing looked fairly stable.

1.5ms & 465fps @ f18 for 5mins :

Hi Stuart, after down loading both images for comparison looks like you have pulled out a little more, however can see collimation or conditions were probably a factor as it was with my post on the 7th, sometimes thin cloud ive found can produce a softer image!

Could you explain how can you tell collimation is off please? Good to get more tips/insights.

Thanks Simon. I've forgotten certain things since I've been away from imaging and one is star collimation! Was watching YouTube about collimating the laser (mine is a baader so can't be collimated) and came across star collimation which I'd completely forgotten about.
