ZWO ASI 183MC-PRO USB 3.0 Cooled Colour Camera Vs Altair HyperCam 183C pro tec

Hi,

I’m looking for a camera to go with my WO GT81 for wide field and the 183 sensor with its tiny pixels seems like a good match.  There’s a second hand Altair HyperCam 183c pro tec in the classifieds at the moment so I’m quite tempted.  Thing is, throughout my short AP journey, I’ve always been a ZWO man.  Is there any material differences between the ZWO and Altair variants or any other factors that may make me regret going for the Altair?

I used to use the ZWO 533MC pro but when it became time to upgrade it was a no brainer for me due to the price difference between the 2600MC PRO and the 26C PRO cameras, with that and the good reviews online I made the jump to the 26C Pro and I am very happy that I did, you get great support from Altair plus both native and ASCOM drivers. So i can't think of any downside unless you are using the ASIAIR PRO to control you imaging rig.
