The Beautiful Andromeda Galaxy

This was a very quick "filler" image as I waited for taurus and the dust clouds to come above the roof of my house. Its about 1hr 45 mins of 180s and 15 mins of 30 seconds combined as HDR in pixinsight.

I may grab some time with the L-enhance some moonlight night and see how much Ha I can bring out.

But for the time being this is ; Sharpstar 61 EDPHII, ASI 2600mc, L-pro filter, 2 Hrs total integration.

Thanks Goran. yes I think the IMX571 has a LOT do do with it. I've had the 2600mc for 18 months now and I am still astonished but the quality of the data that comes out of it. I think it allows for good images from much shorter integrations than before.  I also think that the match with the 61EDPHii has also worked out better, in terms of capturing detail, than I had hoped or expected.

As to the processing, coming from you, whose images I follow and aspire to, that is very flattering and appreciated. Thank you!

Beautifully processed image, love the cloud detail. That's a lot of data for under 2 hrs!

I really like it, too. Great processing to end up with small stars and a smooth transition into the notoriously difficult and bright core.
