Getting focus through Celestron 130EQ with canon400d

As explained in the title I’m struggling to get focus on my celesteon 130eq with my canon , I have the t-rings and adapter but been reading that if I want to gain focus I have to use a Barlow?? Any advice would be great as I’m a beginner I’m open to all advice

I think when you are trying to reach infinity focus with your DSLR you are running out of in focuser travel. Using the barlow would be expected to push the infinity focus up so you can reach focus before running out of in focuser travel.

Yes, you will need a barlow to reach focus with that scope/camera combo assuming that the Canon camera is a DSLR and not a mirrorless one. Mirrorless cameras do not need the barlow but since you are struggling to get focus it seems you have a normal DSLR.

Barlowing to 2x will make everything 2x worse however, so its a compromise. Your best bet is to get a barlow with a removable barlow element and screw that directly to a T-ring to 1.25'' nosepiece adapter. That will shorten the barlow factor a little bit but still allow you to reach focus.
