Moon, Friday Night

The Moon photographed last Friday night with Nikon D800 and 300 mm prime lens. Single frame, no stacking. For some reason the images would not produce a good stack, despite none being below 90% of the image quality of this one.

I love a good old handheld DSLR moon shot... Takes me back to where the imaging journey began 👍🏻

Sorry to disappoint, but this shot was definitely with a tripod! I began with 100 ASA film in a 35 mm camera many years ago.
