Forum Downtime Today

Hi guys,

The forum was down for a few hours this afternoon, its a case of one of those annoying computer things where you try lots of solutions and it suddenly works again but your not sure why!

It was either something to do with software on the server being upgraded which caused problems with phps object compression system or a vulnerability with the forum software was published in the last day or so which may have been exploited, this problem is now patched and things appear to be working as normal. I've been on to my server suppliers admin team so hopefully they can enlighten me as to what was going on. The strange thing is that only the forum was affected and not the blog, or the links page which also use php.

Many apologies to everybody, please pm me if you notice anything not working correctly and I will endeavour to get to the bottom of it...
