Aurora Borealis North Wales

Captured last Thursday evening (10:20pm) from Holyhead Breakwater, Anglesey. Nice to see Ursa Major in the sky too!! On the horizon is the Skerries lighthouse - an important landmark for shipping en route to Liverpool.

Oh my! That is stunning!

Is that "as was"; you didn't add the landscape or clouds on photoshop? (not that we need Photoshop to give us clouds oop north!)

The sky (and clouds) were shot as described. The foreground was the same but a 30 second exposure was used. Blended and processed in Photoshop. Vibrancy and levels helped with isolating the Aurora. I did try stacking the sky but clouds became too problematic/blurry  so camera raw filter instead for noise reduction on a single image.
