A neat way to add Telrad or Rigel quickfinder aligning with RACI

On my Dob, the Telrad sits on its own base due to its sheer size/bulk.

This combination with Skeye is inspiring. Thanks. What is the name for the phone holder?

Such a DIY project is definitely a good idea for someone who has less clumsy hand as me..

There are templates available here in SGL.  Download them and off to the print shop you go.

I'll let you know if it'll mount a RQ when it arrives. It should just fit into the existing mount for my RACI. No idea about mounting a Telrad - never had one.

The only issue with putting a Quickfinder on it is that it'd be pretty high. I intend to use the RACI and a Baader RDF on it.

Well, I've got the double mount by TS Optics and it's great for the Skysurfer RDF but won't house the Quickfinder unmodified.

If you're clever, you can make your own version of the AstroStuff RQFS.  It's just a Synta/Vixen finder foot (check ebay), a riser of some sort (3D printer or carved wood or plastic or even machined aluminum), a 1.5" or so small bolt with nut, and an original Rigel QuikFinder shoe.  I bought one from AS, but they're local to Texas, so not that expensive.
