Moon/Mars (6 degrees)

Although this is not a terribly close approach, the Moon passes about 6 degrees (12 lunar diameters) north of Mars. If this is the first time you identify Mars, keep it in mind, as it will have a nice close approach to Earth on October 30. Then it will be 0.46406 Astronomical Units (about 69,422,703 kilometers or 43,137,268 miles) from Earth.
