Fragment of Hipparchus star map discovered

An interesting report about the discovery of what appears to be a fragment of the lost star map of Hipparchus:

It is extraordinary if correct. Interesting that the coordinates are polar.

Zermelo, thanks for posting this.  It's a wonderful discovery.

I found the article in Space a bit garbled, but this one in Nature was clearer and more detailed.
