Upcoming planetary oppositions

Just for anyone who's forgotten to look these up.

Neptune: 16th Sept 

Jupiter: 26th Sept 

Uranus: 9th Nov 

Mars: 7-8th Dec 

I'll probably forget them (I always do!) so this is a reminder for me as much as anyone else....😄

Edit: if you wonder where Saturn is, that's gone (14th August).

You could pop them in the Celestial Events Heads up Calendar and follow it to get a reminder. I’ll do it if I get the chance.

Or put them In your main “life” calendar. Shame to have to let down anyone having a wedding those days but priorities are priorities.

The rainfall in the UK tends to coincide with the dark skies:

Mind you, even if it's not raining in Cwmdu, there's still a high chance you might get washed away in the dew!

It's a very good thing they left Ireland out of that fancy map or all of the mainland would be shrouded in shadow and wouldn't be able to see anything.

In fact, it rains a lot in Ireland, its climate is "very" oceanic! Here instead (central Sardinia) it has hardly rained for 9 months and it is still quite hot (+34 C yesterday).
