Crayford Focuser

what a gent John Wall was. Nice little video- thanks Spile. Not sure Starlight Instruments would agree with his comments about rack and pinion focusers though- they don’t all have slop ;)

I'm guilty of thinking the crayford was the older type and being replaced bit by bit with 'better' R & P.  But 'presumably' the newer R & P are a cross between the good bits of a crayford type (to reduce slop) and the benefits of a decent R & P to reduce slippage and improve accuracy.
