Home made mount

Finally finished the mount and used it last 2 nights and love it!

Used a fitness disc for rotation as they are designed to take a person's weight and has a tiny resistance,  wherever the scope is turned it stops and stays.

Tripod leg on an angle at the rear to lock 100% in position at any elevation.

I had to ask why you'd got a screwdriver jammed into the wooden base. Then I saw the second one and it finally dawned on me. Madness, bordering on genius or something like that. 😅

I've been looking for a turntable like that for an industrial application, so you may have just solved my problem. The friction also helps.

@Mandy D 🤣 madness is my thing.  No playing around with little knobs here. If I want it super locked in windy conditions the screwdriver looks the bottom .

Honestly the friction works perfect , and it's super smooth to rotate with one finger.

this is my main planet scope so obviously don't need to track , just moved 1mm now and again .
