Looking for the best all round eye pieces for planets .

Using a OOUK VX6L .

get decent results with celestron zoom and ultima edge 10mm which is my most expensive.

Want to see what you guys recommend.

Always struggle with barlows and find just the eye pieces work better .

Attached my 2 go to's.

I don't use my 150mm (GSO) Newtonian much. I like Vixen SLV's for their orthoscopic-like contrast and overall ergonomics. I actually bought the SVLs for it.

TMB clones are always good.

If you want to splash the cash DeLites are very nice.

Is your scope f8 or f11? With my f11 version I find the most used is 11mm (145x) and possibly 9mm (177x). I have TV Delites and they are really good. That said for solar system objects I often use binoviewers and TV Plossls. The 11mm TV Plossl is just as good as the Delites to be honest albeit a bit less comfy.

I'd try to establish a rough set based around a wide field eyepiece at maybe 50x magnification plus eyepieces from 100x and then increase by factors of about 1.4x so 100x, 140x then 200x you can then adjust in decent increments per the seeing.

@Moonshane it's F11 and had the upgrade below.

I mean I don't pretend to have much knowledge.  I know how to use it and see decent views for me but the technical stuff , haven't a clue .

Think will go for a decent 9 mm 10mm 11mm

I sometimes think , although I see enough to keep me happy I'm probably not getting the best out of the scope 🤣

Nice choice. I was thinking about the 11mm for one of my refractors. DeLites have a really nice field, it's hard to believe it's only 62 degrees sometimes. The contrast is as good as an orthoscopic IMO.
