some advice on colouring my image in ps

hi followed a you tube video to get this image but when i go to levels to add some colour it just says grey and no rgb available ,here is the screen shot if that helps,i know the image isnt brilliant but im happier than i was a few months ago in the direction im going thanks to you guys.

Click image tab at the top, then mode, then select RGB (it will be currently set to grayscale)
